Explore your career in the water industry
Inland Empire Works (IEWorks) is devoted to strengthening the water/wastewater workforce by creating equitable pathways to water/wastewater careers. In collaboration with community partners and water agencies, IEWorks aspires to train and employ future water professionals.
Who are we prioritizing for this training
Workers from historically underrepresented and disadvantaged communities including:
Workers from Black communities
Residents re-entering the workforce after incarceration/justice system involvement
Workers in communities where there is a disproportionate burden of income inequality and environmental inequality
The Inland Empire Water Careers Project will strengthen the water/wastewater utilities workforce in the Inland Empire, taking a high-road approach and ensuring economic equity. Our success will depend on
Increasing awareness of high-quality jobs among historically underrepresented workers.
Creating opportunities for Black workers in communities where there is a disproportionate burden of income inequality and environmental inequality.
Addressing workforce needs created by a shortage of qualified, diverse talent.
