Program Requirements

Able to start program on December 1st
Orientation before November 1st
GED or High School diploma
Eligible to enroll at Valley College (SBVC)

Goals

IEWorks will increase the number of highly qualified candidates for mission-critical positions in the water/wastewater industry, while ensuring economic equity across the Inland Empire.

IE works will develop diverse talent pipeline through apprenticeship, internship and career awareness opportunities.

With substantial funding from the US Department of Education and the CA High Road Training Partnership, IEWorks partners with Bay-Area based JVS and BAYWORK to leverage their success and best practices.

- Free College Credit Class at San Bernardino Valley Collge
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Interview prep training, cover letter, and resume assistance
- Basic Waterworks Math Test Preparation Class
- Site tours of potential employment sites at water and wastewater agencies
- Worker-rights awareness training and leadership skill development
- Referrals to job openings within the Inland Empire Water District Agencies
- Assistance with Transportation and safety equipment costs
- Age 18 or older by April 18th, 2022
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Interest in water sector/construction jobs
- Proof of GED or high school diploma
- Must qualify to enroll at SBV college
